1987: the origins

The company was established in 1987 by Mr. Alfonso Montañés Ramón, the current chairman, managing director and main shareholder. The company capital is one hundred per cent Aragonese, and this is point of great pride for all the shareholders.

Right from its beginnings in 1987, the company has stood out due to its initiative in investing in product design and innovation, and in the technological development of both the products and the production processes. Since the first steps and up to date, IDE has been progressively expanding in all respects, in both the products field and in the national market share, as well as in the expansion in foreign markets.

At the beginning, IDE was located in some premises in the city of Zaragoza , subcontracting the manufacture of its small number of products and starting as an enterprising company that tried to make its way in a market, the electric one, a difficult-to-penetrate-in one due to the huge number of important competitors.

1998: the expansion

The motivation of the staff , as well as the high-quality and design of its products, made possible that IDE made its way in the national market very quickly. The acceptance of the market towards IDE was such that it had to change its structure completely, feeling obliged to move to some bigger premises and, therefore, increase the products catalogue.

In the premises of the Malpica area, its new structure allowed to carry out the own manufacture of its products, as well as expanding markets abroad. As a result of this effort, IDE could count on hundreds of own products with a strong acceptance in both the national and in the foreign markets.

The premises of the Malpica area became small for the company's expansion objectives, as well as to satisfy properly the growing demand of its customers. Therefore in 1998, IDE decided to move to other premises located in Villanueva de Gallego. The choice of the new location was thoughtfully analysed because IDE had to choose an area which met all the requirements adequately, as regards e.g. road links, as IDE needed them to be able to develop and carry out its objectives.

2006: a new future stage

But again these premises became small regarding the company's ambitious project. The need to expand the products portfolio by incorporating the manufacture of metal cabinets had as a final result the inauguration of its new premises in Zuera, last 22 nd March 2006.

The putting into operation of the new manufacture plant means the beginning of a new stage. This plant has the latest automated robotics technology for the full manufacture of all the range of metallic cabinets' with the aim of supplying a more and more demanding market in a satisfactory way.
